Mos Def turns thirty-five today. Doesn’t it seem like Mos Def should be older? He should be surprisingly, then unsurprisingly old. For example, let’s say he’s forty-three. You’d think, “Wow, I feel really old. Forty-three? Dang. He looks so young! But I guess he always looked young. He had to have time to be a rapper, then an actor, and then both simultaneously. Yeah, that makes sense, forty-ish. I don’t know why I was surprised. I bet Wil Smith is like sixty-four by now.”
